INTERTEMPORAL PROFIT MAXIMIZATION AND THE DYNAMICS OF INVESTMENT: DEVELOPING THE HAMILTONIAN REPRESENTATION OF THE TRANSLOG PROFIT FUNCTION.
This dissertation develops a full-fledged dynamic model of investment, combining dynamic optimization analysis with the flexible functional forms--short-run, intertemporal, and final translog profit functions--to derive the optimal policy rules for firm's investment and capital utilization.
