Introduction : les masques du tourisme
[eng] Georges Cazes, Georges Courade — The masks of tourism Tourist activity is a form of transhumance linked to industrialisation and to the rise of living standards in the North and in emerging countries. Extended to the whole planet by planes, it affects many countries whereby it may cause damages or bring about some development. This is because it stems from false appearances and masks unsightly realities even as it is increasingly handled by poorly known multinationals. Will the regulation of its expansion through ethic codes make it an acceptable activity everywhere ?
