Is there labor demand shift due to "Routine-biased technological change" in Korea?
Recently routine biased technological change (RBTC) is pervasive in developed countries with the development of technologies which are efficiently possible to replace human labor source. This study find evidence for RBTC in Korea from 1993 to 2015, using panel analysis. The change employment structure shows decline in middle-skilled group and concurrent rise in high-and low-skilled groups. The empirical result confirms that routine intensive occupations are more vulnerable to job loss.
