Biographical note: Verena Teissl, promovierte Komparatistin, ist Professorin für Kulturwissenschaft und Kulturmanagement an der FH Kufstein (Österreich) und Vorstandsmitglied des Fachverbandes Kulturmanagement e.V. Sie war Mitbegründerin des Internationalen Film Festival Innsbruck, Mitarbeiterin der Viennale - Vienna International Film Festival, Gründerin und Kuratorin der interdisziplinären Veranstaltungsreihe Videodrom film & lecture im ORF kulturhaus Innsbruck. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind u.a. Kulturbetriebsgeschichte und Medientheorie.
