Kurumsal yönetişim çerçevesinde şeffaflık anlayışı
Bir işletmenin bütün faaliyetleri konusunda şeffaf olması ve kamuyu bilgilendirmesi, kurumsal yönetişimin en önemli ilkelerindendir. Bu konu, sürekli olarak iş hayatımızın gündemindedir. Bir işletmenin ne ölçüde şeffaf olacağı, hangi bilgileri kimlerle ve nasıl paylaşacağı… gibi konular iş hayatımızda çok büyük önem taşımaktadır. Türkiye’de, işletmelerimizdeki şeffaflık anlayışının en belirleyici etkenleri; ulusal kültürümüz ve buna bağlı olarak iş adamlarımızın ticaret alışkanlıkları ile ülkemizin ekonomik değişkenleridir. Ancak, yakın zamanda gerçekleşmesi beklenen ekonomik ve yasal değişimler de -kayıt dışı ekonominin önemli boyutlara ulaştığı- Türk iş hayatındaki şeffaflık anlayışını olumlu yönlendirecek niteliktedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, işletmelerimizi yöneten kişilerin şeffaflık konusuna bakış açılarının (yerel ölçekte) belirlenmesidir. Başka bir deyişle, “yönetici gözüyle, şeffaf olmanın işletme açısından olumlu ve olumsuz etkileri”ni irdelemektir. Araştırmanın başında “kurumsal yönetişim” kavramına ve bu kavramın performans ile ilişkisine değinilmektedir. Ardından, yöneticilerin algıladığı etkilerle şeffaflık konusu, Türkiye’nin koşulları ile birlikte değerlendirilmektedir. Araştırmanın sonunda Eskişehir’de yapılan uygulama çalışmasına yer verilmektedir. Bu araştırma, “Türkiye’ye özgü şeffaflık anlayışı” konusunda ipuçları verdiği ve “Türk yöneticilerinin bu konudaki algıları”nı ortaya koyduğu için önem taşımaktadır.
