Several factors now broaden competitive mechanisms. These include new paramedical markets, further financing in the competitive insurance market, the stakes of worldwide competition for a sector that has become a strategic sector and the need to make the European health systems mutually consistent. Making regulation of competition compatible with social responsibilities remains a difficulty.
