Marketing cooperatives in Tanzania : Problems and prospects

This book presents an analytical history of marketing cooperative movements in Tanzania from the pre-independence period to the present. It argues that the history of marketing cooperatives in Tanzania has been characterized by successive failure, frustrations and challenges. The author examines why the government's attempt to use cooperatives to bring about change in Tanzania failed to give satisfactory results. He further recommends steps that should be taken in order to improve this situation. (DÜI-Hff)
