Media Trend Hypothesis; Explaining Unexplainable : Why Media is so Sure What it Says is Really True

Current article examines the influence of US Fed on major international publications and their perception of US Economy. For this purpose, the article analyses all US Fed press releases issued from 2003 to 2008 and media articles on US economy in the same time frame. The research finds that the influence of US Fed on media perception of US Economy is weak and diminishing over the time. Article introduces a new, Media Trend Hypothesis which explains the low influence of US Fed on news outlets. According to the hypothesis, US Fed failure to influence media can be found in commercial logic on news media. According to this logic media is literary forced to establish a major frame or a news line trend which it tries to support as long as possible defying outside signals
