MEJORAMIENTO DEL PROCESO DE FABRICACIÓN DE ENVASES PARA PRODUCTOS MÉDICOS EN UNA EMPRESA DE LA CIUDAD DE CALI
Este artículo presenta los resultados de un proyecto que se realizó en la ciudad de Santiago de Cali en el año2008, en una empresa dedicada a la producción de empaques plásticos para la industria farmacéutica y veterinaria,obteniendo como resultado un proceso mejorado de la fabricación y la propuesta de un nuevo diseño de envases. El estudio se desarrolló en la línea de producción de aplicadores vaginales, producto con mayor participación en ventas (30,7%. Según el análisis de Pareto realizado con los datos de ventas de la empresa del 2007. Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se utilizaron las herramientas Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Focus Group y encuestas al consumidorfinal, software Moldflow part adviser 6.0 y la aplicación de técnicas como el estudio de métodos y tiempos. Con la aplicación de las encuestas dirigida a un grupo de mujeres de la Universidad Autónoma de Occidente entre los 15 y 50 años de edad se identificaron las necesidades de los consumidores frente al aplicador vaginal; el Focus Group evidenció de forma cualitativa la importancia de cada necesidad y el nivel de satisfacción de las usuarias con el producto en comparación con la competencia; el QFD ayudó a establecer el criterio de calidad que la empresa debía mejorar para ser máscompetitiva. Los resultados determinaron los parámetros necesarios del molde para disminuir el tiempo de ciclo del proceso de inyección y, el estudio de métodos y tiempos estableció los puntos críticos, el tiempo estándar y el método de trabajo que se debe utilizar en el proceso de producción.
