Mindestlohnerhöhung im Oktober 2022: 12 Euro Mindestlohn betreffen mehr als jeden fünften Job
Der gesetzliche Mindestlohn in Deutschland soll gemäß Koalitionsbeschluss im Oktober 2022 auf 12 Euro steigen. Das Autorenteam untersucht, wie viele und welche bestehenden Beschäftigungsverhältnisse sowie Neueinstellungen im Jahr 2021 unterhalb von 12 Euro entlohnt wurden und damit von der beschlossenen Mindestlohnerhöhung betroffen sein dürften. Schätzungen zufolge lag der Bruttostundenlohn 2021 insgesamt bei mehr als jedem fünften Beschäftigungsverhältnis unter 12 Euro. Dabei spielt die Mindestlohnerhöhung insbesondere für Teilzeit- und Minijobs eine große Rolle. So wären 2021 hochgerechnet mehr als sieben von zehn Minijobs von der Mindestlohnerhöhung betroffen gewesen, bei den sozialversicherungspflichtigen Teil- und Vollzeitjobs waren es 24 und 9 Prozent. Deutliche Unterschiede in der Betroffenheit gibt es auch zwischen den Wirtschaftszweigen. Zudem sind Neueinstellungen deutlich häufiger betroffen als bestehende sozialversicherungspflichtige Beschäftigungsverhältnisse.
