Mobil'nost' i identičnost' rukovoditelej rossijskich promyšlennych predprijatij

The paper examines CEO turnover and separation of ownership from control in the Russian manufacturing. Empirical analysis is based on micro-data of the recent representative survey «Russian firms in a global economy» conducted in 2014. The data shows that CEO turnover in the Russian manufacturing remains high and most of the surveyed enterprises are still governed by their owners. Using various econometric techniques author identifies major determinants of CEO turnover and separation of ownership from control. Analysis shows also that there exists no close association of CEO turn over or separation of ownership from control with firms’ performance. This implies that efficiency of the Russian system of corporate governance continues to be low.
