Modélisation "Cobweb" de la relation formation-emploi en longue période
L'objet de cet article est de développer, en prolongement de précédentes publications cliométriques de Diebolt (1994, 1997, 2001) et de Diebolt & El Murr (2003), une modélisation « cobweb » de la relation formation-emploi. Notre recherche se situe en extension des travaux précurseurs de Freeman (1971) et d'une publication de Ehrenberg & Smith (1994). Notre approche se distingue de ces travaux pionniers par le fait qu'elle étudie les effets cobweb non seulement pour un seul marché du travail, mais pour le cas général d'une offre allouée à plusieurs marchés. En effet, nous pensons que les décisions individuelles des cohortes d'étudiants sont liées à la structure relative des salaires, elle-même déterminée par l'état actuel des marchés de travail des métiers correspondants aux différentes disciplines. Nous montrons que l'alternance régulière d'effets d'engorgement et de pénurie sur les divers marchés de travail, résultant de la conjugaison des deux effets simultanés de substitution et de saturation, conduirait à un phénomène d'oscillations cycliques retraçant l'évolution des sentiers de croissance empruntés.
