Negative Impact of the Ethical Aspects of Confucianism on Investment Activity

The paper is devoted to analysis of problem of influence of Confucianism on investment activity. We considered in detail the negative impact of the ethical aspects of Confucianism on China's investment activity based on the following seven factors:1. Strict hierarchy and ritualization in Chinese culture. Confucian culture is based on five virtues: kindness, justice, directness, wisdom and loyalty. The nucleus of Confucianism is "kindness".2. Excessive emphasis on ethical and social (interpersonal) relationships.3. Ignoring of productive labor.4. The prevalence of moral and ethical norms over the legal and the absence of the rule of law. Investment activity is based not on the economical rules and norms of law, but on moral and ethical norms and principles.5. Application of the idea of ​​the "middle way" in practice as the limitation of a person's ability to display mental and creative activity, to make investment decisions.7. Application of theoretical scientific methods based on intellect, ingenuity, intelligence and commitment to the traditional experience of transferring skills and knowledge from generation to generation. We made the following conclusion that Confucianism negatively impact investment activity in China
