Negotiation Games for Individual Services and Tariffs in Wireless Communications

This paper describes how recursive constrained Stackelberg games can help in efficiently designing individual wireless services and tariffs. By this is meant the chance given to each wireless user to select the service type, service attributes, contract duration of his liking, and to have this customized design provisioned by a supplier. Full algorithms are described. Equilibrium analysis is reported in view of user demand uncertainties and value at risk, as well as the achieved rate of deals impacting the total profits of the supplier. A case of “wireless singing classroom service” is described. Numerical results from that case show that, in terms of profit, risk, and market share, it makes sense for the supplier to offer individual services; and that the user, as game leader, always gains. Deployment and implementation into the rating and billing infrastructure are addressed
