New-Genre Leadership Theories : An Overview

Traditional theories of leadership focus on leadership effectiveness with reference to leader and situational characteristics. New-genre leadership theories, on the other hand, focus on complex and continuous interactions and interrelationships among the followers, leadership situation and leader. Various theories have been propounded to bring about a satisfactory explanation of the leadership processes and leadership effectiveness, and more so in the current research and practices.
