On Optimal Insurance And Anomaly-Detection In Title Insurance Coverage

The optimal amount of property/land title insurance coverage under both the Torrens and Recording systems remains controversial and this article introduces decision models and shows that the optimal title insurance evolves as market and property-specific conditions change. The models can also be extended to Optimal Title Insurance for commercial titles (eg. Uniform Commercial Code based titles in USA) – such as personal property, Intangible assets, derivatives and commodities owned by, or used as collateral by banks, insurance companies; retailers, healthcare companies, lodging/hotel companies, restaurant chains, manufacturing companies, healthcare companies, etc.. Similarly, the models developed herein can be used for Anomaly-Detection (AD): i) the optimal amount of title insurance coverage; and ii) the sub-optimal conditions for existence of optimal Title Insurance
