Pendugaan Cadangan Karbon Hutan Tanaman Eucalyptus Grandis Tahun Tanam 2004 Dan 2005 Di Areal Hphti PT. TPL Sektor Aek Nauli Menggunakan Citra Landsat TM
Information of forest stand ability in carbon sequestration is vital in order to climate mitigation, specially for global warming. The aim of this research is to develop the spasial model of carbon stock of planted Eucalyptus grandis forests using Landsat TM. The model was developed using statistical approach based on relationship between the digital number of remotely sense data and carbon stock was estiamted by allometrik equation in each sample plot. The result of the researh show that the best model is Y = 23.512 Log B – 29.167, R2 = 9.5 %. The average carbon stock in planted stand, 3.38 ton/ha and 4.28 ton/ha in planted stand of 1 and 2 age years old. The research concludes that remotely sensed data Landsat TM could be used for estimating above-ground carbon stock of E. grandis stand.
