Physical Macroeconomics - PART XIII : Information, Creativity and AI

This article discusses some implications of the physical concepts of information and economic value. These concepts under the general title "Physical Macroeconomics" were proposed by the author in interdisciplinary journals and books, as well as in a series of SSRN articles.The fundamental principle of living systems is the creation of information, which means an increase in the information component of the working potential of a living system. Thanks to the creation of information, living systems survive and develop despite the fatal entropic tendency expressed by the second law of thermodynamics. An AI system does physical work by consuming energy from the environment and releasing entropic heat back into the environment. However, any AI system does not create new information – it only receives, processes, stores and transmits huge arrays of binary electrical signals in accordance with an algorithm created by a programmer.The highest stage in the evolution of living systems was the emergence of a super-creative human brain. Namely, the human brain, based on genetic data and signals received from the senses, constantly creates information, maintaining an adequately encoded reflection of the surrounding world. A sustainable world is in a state of harmony, which means the balance of all information and energy factors, so people experience a sense of harmony inaccessible to AI
