La política exterior de Joseph Biden hacia América Latina : un análisis prospectivo al inicio del nuevo gobierno (Joseph Biden’s Foreign Policy Towards Latin America: A Prospective Analysis at the Beginning of the New Government)

Spanish abstract: En el contexto de la política exterior de la administración Trump, una de las regiones que más sufrió el abandono y la falta de liderazgo de Estados Unidos fue América Latina. Con el cambio de gobierno, es relevante preguntarse: ¿Cómo se prefigura la política exterior de Estados Unidos hacia los países latinoamericanos en la administración Biden? A partir del análisis de la trayectoria política del nuevo presidente, esta investigación sostiene que la nueva administración dará un renovado impulso a las relaciones con la región, pero con un tratamiento diferenciado para cada país a partir de los temas “tradicionales” de la política exterior de Estados Unidos con América Latina.English abstract: In the context of foreign policy in the Trump administration, one of the regions that suffered the most from the neglect and lack of leadership of the United States was Latin America. With the change of government, it is relevant to ask: How does the foreign policy of the Biden administration prefigure towards Latin American countries? Based on an analysis of the new president's political trajectory, this research argues that the new administration will give a renovated impulse to relations with the region, but with a differentiated treatment for each country based on the "traditional" issues of the United States' foreign policy with Latin America
