Preserving Decreasing Nth Degree Risk Aversion

This note presents the concept of Nth degree risk aversion and shows that the decrease of the coefficients of absolute and that of relative Nth degree risk aversion are preserved in the presence of additive and multiplicative background risk. This paper extends the results concerning absolute risk aversion, absolute prudence and relative risk aversion to higher orders
