Produktveränderungen in der Lebensversicherung und Auswirkungen der Wirtschaftskrise 2008
Ziel dieser Magisterarbeit ist es, zu untersuchen, ob in Österreich in einem längeren Zeitraum Veränderungen beim Abschluss von Lebensversicherungsprodukten zu erkennen sind und ob in den Bilanzen von Versicherungen Auswirkungen der Wirtschaftskrise 2008 festzustellen sind. Dazu werden die wichtigsten Produkte der Lebensversicherung beschrieben und ihre Kalkulationsgrundlagen und die Ermittlung der Gewinnbeteiligung dargestellt. Eine Untersuchung des Lebensversicherungsmarktes der Jahre 2000 bis 2008 ergibt, dass es eine starke Verschiebung von der klassischen Lebensversicherung zur fonds- und indexgebundenen Lebensversicherung gibt. In diesem Zeitraum haben sich auch die gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen deutlich verändert. Um eventuelle Auswirkungen der Wirtschaftskrise erkennen zu können, werden die Bilanzen der acht größten Lebensversicherungsgesellschaften von 2004 bis 2008 detailliert analysiert. Damit eine bessere Vergleichbarkeit gegeben ist, wird eine größere Anzahl unterschiedlicher Kennziffern erarbeitet. Die Auswirkungen der Wirtschaftskrise 2008 sind in den Bilanzen der Gesellschaften unterschiedlich stark aber deutlich zu erkennen. Im Gegensatz zu den Banken benötigt aber kein österreichisches Lebensversicherungsunternehmen eine staatliche Unterstützung.
