Profitability Analysis of Select Sugar Manufacturing Companies in India – a Multidimential Approach

Sugar manufacturing sector is one of the core sectors, which helps to develop the economy by producing and supplying products and service. This sector faces many problems so it affects the performance of the company. It also affects the economic development. The present study focused on the profitability analysis, because the inadequate finance facilities, up gradation of technology, lack of skilled work force, cost of equipment affects the profitability. Therefore, the study collects financial data from the financial year 2010-2011 to 2020-2021 to analyze the data. Since the study focused on the secondary data EID Parry, Bajaj Hindustan Sugar, Shree Renuka Sugar on purposive sampling method. The study concluded that the performance of the select company is satisfactory level during the study period and some of the periods show fluctuations
