Prospects for Eu-Ukraine Economic Relations

This report looks at the prospects for economic integration between Ukraine and the European Union. It starts from presentation of the background of the EU-Ukraine relations and then carries a detailed assessment of implementation of selected economic articles of the EU-Ukraine Action Plan that was signed in early 2005. The forward-looking analysis concentrates on the prospects for liberalization of trade in goods and for the establishment of the free trade zone in manufacturing between the EU and Ukraine as well as more ambitious and economically meaningful options of such as an enhanced FTA and granting Ukraine wider access to the EU internal market
