Quelques difficultés à la prise en compte de la biodiversité par les propriétaires forestiers
The temperate forestry wake effect (in French « effet de sillage ») through which wood production would necessarily and indirectly imply social and ecological objectives for the society, now comes up against binding constraints. The discrepancies between the society expectations concerning biodiversity conservation, difficult to define, and the opportunity costs non industrial forest owners must endure, necessitates to specify the different instruments it is possible to use in order to measure biodiversity and its value in the context either of the optimization of the forest management in an uncertain background, of the sustainability or of the viability of the dynamic forest evolution paths, or of their resilience. This would help to defuse arising conflicts between the society and the forest managers, and to help the later to take the most calculated actions.
