Rationalitaet betrieblicher Gesundheitsfoerderung in der Unternehmenskommunikation. Eine Analyse vonBegruendungen fuer Gesundheitsfoerderungsprogramme in Oesterreich (Rationality of Corporate Health Care in Corporate Communications. An Analysis of Accounts for Corporate Health Care Activities in Austria)
Die aktuelle Diskussion ueber betriebliche Gesundheitsfoerderung fokussiert auf freiwillige Massnahmen, fuer die Betriebe zusaetzliche Kosten tragen. Bezug nehmend auf das Konzept des Rationalitaetsmythos im soziologischen Neoinstitutionalismus wird untersucht, welche Gruende fuer betriebliche Gesundheitsfoerderung im oesterreichischen Kontext angefuehrt werden. Auf Basis einer Causal Mapping Analyse der Unternehmenskommunikation zur Durchfuehrung von Gesundheitsfoerderungsprogrammen arbeitet die Studie heraus, inwieweit Betriebe die Gesundheit der Beschaeftigten, personalwirtschaftliche Ziele und unternehmensbezogene Erfolgsgroessen zur Begruendung ihrer Aktivitaeten heranziehen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass auf die Gesundheit der Beschaeftigten bezogene, individuelle Erfolgsgroessen in der Argumentation zwar ueberwiegen, aber auch zur Verfolgung personalwirtschaftlicher und unternehmensbezogener Ziele instrumentalisiert werden. Dies weist auf eine oekonomische Rationalitaet der Begruendung von Gesundheitsfoerderung hin, deren zentrales Argumentationsmuster ist, dass gesunde Mitarbeiter und Motivation dem wirtschaftlichen Erfolg nutzen. Die Studie gibt einen Einblick in den Stellenwert und die Ausgestaltung oekonomischer Rationalitaet in einem sich etablierenden Themenfeld der Personalarbeit. Sie illustriert ueberdies, wie Causal Mapping nuetzlich sein kann, um Rationalitaetsformen zu unterscheiden und ihre Auspraegungen zu erschliessen.
