RESEARCH IN ECONOMIC EDUCATION - Determinants of How Students Evaluate Teachers - Data from over 600 economics classes over 17 semesters indicate that instructors can buy higher student evaluation scores by awarding higher grades. Instructor experience, class size, student type, response rates, and other factors are also found to influence student evaluations of teaching in different courses.
