Research problems and hypotheses in management sciences
The methodological competences of researchers in a specific area are essential for the development of that area as well as maintaining high standards of research. Considering the variety of paradigms and the wide range of instruments which are necessary for measuring and analysing the phenomena which are the subject of research in management sciences, it is worth going back to the fundamental issues of modern science. Thus, this paper discusses the methodological foundations of management sciences. This includes an evaluation of research practice as well as a review of various approaches and researchers' opinions regarding, among other things, the relationship between a research problem, the aim and the hypotheses in contemporary research projects.
