Review on the Transport Capacity Management of Oil and Gas Pipeline Network : Challenges and Opportunities in Future Pipeline Transportation

Pipeline is the essential transportation infrastructure of energy system which has undertaken most of the transportation tasks. In a critical period of the energy transition, It is necessary to comprehensively review the pipeline transport capacity management research for future development plans. This paper adopts the bibliometric analysis method to analyze the related literature quantitatively. Moreover, through the review of the existing studies, we found that researches under different market modes have their characteristics. Thus, the research framework of this issue is constructed. We summarised the general situation and research status of pipeline capacity management for each market mode. Finally, the shortcomings of current research and the direction of future development are discussed
