La Revista Integración & Comercio del BID incluye artículos referidos a las distintas manifestaciones del proceso de integración en América Latina y el Caribe, a la integración hemisférica y, también, a los procesos con igual orientación que se llevan a cabo en otras partes del mundo. Este número está dedicado a los temas del federalismo y las relaciones internacionales en el caso de tres países de la región: Argentina, Brasil y México. Los trabajos aquí reunidos fueron presentados en el Taller Federalismo y Relaciones Internacionales: Experiencias Comparadas en América Latina, organizado conjuntamente por el Consejo Argentino para las Relaciones Internacionales (CARI) y el INTAL. Los trabajos están agrupados en tres capítulos temáticos que se corresponden con las sesiones del referido evento, a saber: aspectos jurídicos e institucionales concernientes a la distribución de poder y responsabilidades entre el gobierno nacional y las unidades subnacionales, la formulación de la política comercial en sistemas federales de gobierno y, finalmente, los aspectos de cooperaciones en áreas fronterizas y de regiones bajo fuertes influencias de los proceso de integración.Abstract: The Integration & Trade Journal includes articles on the different aspects of integration in Latin America and the Caribbean, on hemispheric integration and, furthermore, on similar processes in other parts of the world. This issue of the Integration & Trade Journal addresses federalism and international relations in three countries of the region: Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. The papers included herein were presented at the Workshop on Federalism and International Relations: comparing Latin American Experiences, organized by the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI) and INTAL. The issue is grouped in three thematic chapters which match the sessions of the event, namely: legal and institutional aspects related to the distribution of power and responsibilities between national governments and the sub-national units, the formulation of trade policy in federal governments and finally, cooperation at border areas and in regions strongly influenced by integration processes.
