Reziliența capitalismul : între realitate și imaginar (Capitalism and Its Resilience: Between Reality and Imaginary)

My talk for today’s conference is about resilience and capitalism; two historical projects anchored in time, space, and law. Embedded in reality and imaginary they contain elements of finitude and infinitude, to use Martin Heidegger’s vocabulary; with the legal regime (international and domestic) defining both their possibility and their manifestation into finitude, reality. To surmise their complexity, my presentation is interdisciplinary. It references Martin Heidegger and Bernard Stiegler and their approach to knowledge, viewed as technologically enframed. While capitalism hasn’t invented technology, capitalism, to a large extent, is arguably a modern technological product. Resilience is often coupled with sustainability and framed within a macro-economic examination. As a result I will also encompass a macroeconomic analysis , economic ecology , while emphasizing the technological and legal facets of capitalist resilience
