Rhetoric Matters
Deirdre McCloskey pulls no punches in this eloquent piece. Dishonesty is a problem in economicsâin particular, the misuse of "statistical significance" bothers her. But mostly she is annoyed by the fact that the profession will not discuss the problem seriously.
