Role of Transparent and Non Transparent Nature of Substrate on Electrochemical Growth, Surface Morphology, Structural, Chemical and Optical Properties of Cadmoselite and Iron Incorporated Cadmoselite Semiconducting Alloy Thin Films
Cadmium chalcogenides focused many researchers for the past few decades owing to its attracting features such as its structure, band gap, chemical, physical and optical properties. The scope of the present work is to investigate the modified features of cadmoselite and iron incorporated cadmoselite thin film growth by simple, low cost, low temperature electrochemical deposition technique. The films are deposited on non transparent and transparent nature conducting substrates. The deposited layers were subjected to X-ray diffraction to determine the structural features of the deposited films with microscopic level. The film composition with morphological feature is analyzed using Energy dispersive X-ray analysis with scanning electron microscope. Optical properties reported that the deposited films have maximum absorbance in the violet to blue region. The band gap value of the deposited films is found to be in between 1.71 and 1.78 eV and the value of optical parameters such as refractive index, extinction coefficient, real, imaginary dielectric constants, optical conductivity and dielectric susceptibility were determined
