Rural Women Entrepreneurs : A Case Study for Cottage Industries of Dang District

Women entrepreneurs have proved to be equi-potential with their men counterparts in business expertise and are emerging as smart and dynamic entrepreneurs. A strong desire to do something positive is an inbuilt quality of entrepreneurial women, who is capable of contributing values in both family and social life. This study aims to study the problems and prospects of women entrepreneurs in Dang district who are engaged into small enterprises and are running successfully their enterprises. The study reveals that women are not into business for survival but to satisfy their internal desire of creativity and to prove their competences. Further it reveals that Women education is contributing largely to the social transformation of these women entrepreneurs. It is found these activities proved to be backbone for many families for survival and economic activities
