Seeking the Consent of Ghosts : The Purpose of Political Economy in Behavioural Economics

This article discusses recent efforts to reconcile behavioural economics into other schools of economic thinking. The article argues that behavioural economics should be keen to integrate ideas from other schools and the wider academy. However, adopting a Kuhnian perspective, further argues that it is unhelpful to the development of behavioural economics for behavioural economics to either be subsumed by an alternative school of thought, or to erroneously reinterpret prior ideas to accommodate a behavioural perspective
