Sentimentos e comportamentos em matéria ambiental: detecção de diferenças entre género e grupos profissionais
Neste estudo investigamos conhecimentos, emoções, intenções e comportamentos de estudantes de Gestão de Empresas e de Engenharia do Ambiente face a assuntos do ambiente. Utilizámos uma análise MANOVA para os testes estatísticos de aferição dos efeitos do género e curso, sobre dados recolhidos por questionário. Os resultados sugerem que os participantes revelam elevada emoção em matéria ambiental, mas os compromissos verbais (ao nível da intenção) e efectivos (comportamentos) foram substancialmente mais baixos. Os estudantes de Gestão de Empresas manifestaram menor conhecimento, intenção e comportamento pró-ambiental que os estudantes de Engenharia do Ambiente, mas não menor emoção. As mulheres evidenciaram maior intenção de comportamento pró-ambiental, no entanto, os homens parecem possuir maior conhecimento. Para induzir comportamentos mais pró-ambientais é necessário promover maior conhecimento mas também actuar directamente sobre as vertentes de emoção e intenção.
