Socialismo y utilitarismo en la economía política de John Stuart Mill
This article points to the relationship between socialims and utilitarism in John Stuart Mill's thought. His praise of cooperatives relies on the utilitarian criterion "the greatest good for the greatest number" and on the idea of a progressive difussion of the cooperative system. On the country, Mill upholds the competition system: thus setting himself apart from most of the socialist authors of his area.
