Socijalno Samopoštovanje I Interkulturalna Osjetljivost Srednjoškolaca [Social Self-Esteem and Intercultural Sensitivity of High School Students]
Bosnian Abstract: Osnovni cilj ovog istraživanja je ispitivanje socijalnog samopoštovanja i interkulturalne osjetljivosti na uzorku učenika i učenica trećeg i četvrtog razreda Internacionalne škole u Sarajevu. Rezultati ukazuju na pozitivnu korelaciju između ove dvije varijable, te na statistički značajnu povezanost socijalnog samopoštovanja sa svim facetama interkulturalne osjetljivosti. Učenice izvještavaju o višem socijalnom samopoštovanju i većoj interkulturalnoj osjetljivosti od učenika. Nisu utvrđene statistički značajne razlike u ovim varijablama između učenika/učenica trećeg i četvrtog razreda,niti je utvrđen moderatorski efekat pola ili razreda. Učenice prednjače u rezultatima na svih pet aspekata interkulturalne osjetljivosti, dok učenici/učenice trećeg razreda takođe imaju više prosječne rezultate od onih iz četvrtih razreda na tri facete ove varijable (na druge dvije su ujednačeni). Prokomentarisane su i pedagoške implikacije programa uvježbavanja interkulturalne komunikacije i povećanja socijalnog samopoštovanja. English Abstract: The main aim of this research is to investigate social self-esteem and intercultural sensitivity on a sample of students who attended third and fourth grade at International (high) school in Sarajevo. The results indicate positive correlation between these two variables, as well as statistically significant relationship of social self-esteem with all facets of intercultural sensitivity. Female students report higher levels of social self-esteem and intercultural sensitivity, compared to male students. There were no statistically significant differences with regard to attending third or fourth grade, and there was a lack of moderating effect of gender and grade. Female students had higher results on all five aspects of intercultural sensitivity. Students who attended third grade compared to those who attended fourth grade had higher scores on three facets of the mentioned variable (as for other two facets, their average scores were almost equal). There were discussed pedagogical implications of programs designed to exercise (practice) intercultural communication and to increase social self-esteem
