State Budget and Public Finance in 2014 (Budżet państwa i finanse publiczne w 2014 roku)

The year 2014 brought an undoubted improvement of the state of public finance. An expression thereof was reduction of the public finance deficit from 4.0% of GDP to 3.2%. This occurred, on the one hand, owing to carrying out a clever fiscal policy aimed at a moderate fiscal consolidation adjusted to the course of the business cycle, while, on the other hand, owing to carrying out a bold reform of open pension funds.
