Statistical Evaluation of Services in Romania

The conceptual analysis of the meaning, quality and productivity of services in the Romanian economy, the structural insight into the highly varied universe of these activities, identifying the distinctive level and structure dynamics of the tertiary sector, defining and delineating Juglar cycles, ever more clearly outlined by the services index, are the main aims of this article. The methodological landmarks are fully statistical, the analysis methods of the cyclical and seasonal phenomena that also characterize the services market are capitalized on, alongside the descriptive statistical analysis of a considerable amount of data, by means of which the current status and the future services in Romania were assessed, and everything was subjected to the rigors of the classical and modern statistical approach
