Technikgenese in organisatorischen Kontexten: Neue Entwicklungslinien sozialwissenschaftlicher Technikforschung
In der sozialwissenschaftlichen Technikforschung nimmt der Diskus über die Folgen der Technikentwicklung den weitaus größten Raum ein. Die vorliegende Studie geht von der These aus, daß die bisherige Konzentration der Forschung auf die Folgen der Technikentwicklung die Gefahr einer analytischen .Verkürzung in sich birgt, da die Bedingungen der Entstehung und Nutzung von Techniken nicht ausreichend beachtet werden und die Technikforschung daher konzeptionell zu kurz greift. Die sozialwissenschaftliche Erforschung der Technikgenese hat sich zur Aufgabe gesetzt, den gesamten Prozeß und Bedingungsrahmen der Entwicklung neuer Technologien, aber auch der grundlegenden Modifikationen vorhandener Techniken bis zu den ersten Stufen der Markteinführung zu untersuchen. Dabei wird - in Anlehnung an die traditionellen Fragestellungen der Wissenschaftsforschung, aber auch der Diffusionsforschung - die Untersuchung der Entscheidungsprozesse über die Initiierung, '.Verfolgung und auch Eliminierung einzelner technischer Entwicklungsvorhaben in Organisationen und Institutionen zum zentralen Analysefeld gemacht. Die Studie entwickelt erste Ansätze eines Analyserahmens und Kategorien zur Erforschung der Technikgenese in organisatorischen Kontexten.
