The Application of Electronic Computers to Economic Planning and Statistics
The development of electronic computers is one of the greatest achievements of contemporary science and technology. They can interpret and process tremendous amounts of numerical material at speeds of several thousands per second. Following a given sequence, these machines can change the program of computation and perform not only arithmetical, but also logical operations. Having performed the given operations, the machines automatically print the results.
