The Austrian Economy in 2011: Recovery Continued
In 2011, the world economy grew rapidly once again (by almost 4 percent). The recovery after the severe economic crisis of 2008 and 2009 thus continued. However, in many countries the economy still failed to return to its pre-crisis output level. As a consequence, the stance of monetary and fiscal policy remained expansionary in many parts of the world.
