The Correlation between Leadership, Knowledge Management and Organizational Performance in R&D Organizations

Knowledge Management (KM) seem of undeniable importance in regards to organizational performance, especially in R&D oriented organizations. This study seeks to evaluate the effect of leadership as a fundamental driver of KM and organizational performance (OP) as the output of it. Leadership can pave the way for KM success that consequently results in a better organizational performance. Researchers of four R&D organizations were selected to respond to the questionnaire of this study to test the hypotheses. The results show that supportive leadership impacts on both KM and OP, although directive leadership could not have such significant impact.
