The Dual-System Transition and Reform-Induced Growth of China Since 1978

China has been a dual system country for a particularly long cycle, and its system transition is characterized by different stages, sequences, and incremental reforms. The analysis of China’s economy requires not only the innovation of new structural development economics but also the analytic method and framework of dual-system transition economics. This paper quantitatively analyzes the generalized technical progress TFP and the system reform TFP and finds that the latter is subdivided into reform productivity improvement TFP and capitalization reform zero-to-market-price premium TFP, from which originated the momentum of high-speed economic growth since 1978
