The Effect of Bureaucratic and Humanistic Leadership Styles on the Innovative Work Behavior of Employees

The study examined the effect of bureaucratic and humanistic leadership styles on the innovative work behaviour of employees. The literature was reviewed to deepen and establish the concept of the study. Descriptive assessment and correlational research design were employed. Data were gathered from the respondents. They were the employees of the Divine Word College of Laoag. It was ascertained that the bureaucratic leadership style is high while the humanistic style is moderate. Consequently, this indicates that the bureaucratic style of leadership dominated the humanistic style. A significant correlation was found between leadership styles and innovative work behavior. Hence, the hypothesis of the study is accepted
