The IMF Programs in Transition Economies

Growth and, late, failure of central planning is one of the most important events of the twentieth century. In late of '80, the limits of central planning became clear and after the fall of the Berlin Wall, former communist countries were engaged in a historical process of transition to market economy by calling the assistance of the majority of financial institutions. International Monetary Fund (IMF) played an important role in this process whereof is justified the importance of this article. The paper aims to conduct an analysis of programs that the Fund implemented in the countries in transition to market economy and the impact on the economies of these countries
