The Impact of Financial Literacy and Financial Well-Being toward Online Shopping Activities during COVID-19 among Students Residing in Malaysia

The purpose of this study is to measured and analysed the relationship and correlations of the financial literacy, financial well-being, COVID-19 daily life influence, and individual’s monthly income toward the online shopping activities, which is measured through the estimated average monthly online spending. Despite there are many studies that had been focusing on financial literacy, financial well-being and individual’s monthly income, few study has been conducted in relations to the COVID-19 pandemic and influences toward daily life. This study has an objective to fill on that research gap. To answer that gap, our study uses Google forms questionnaire and the questions are based on either multiple-choice question with only 1 answer (in the form of quiz) for financial literacy (knowledge) and self-assess 1-5 or 1-10 Likert-scale question. The results of the study show that the financial literacy, financial well-being,” COVID-19 daily life influence” scale and the monthly income (In the estimated result form and range, not absolute number) are significantly correlated and influencing each other, despite each of the independent variables does not statistically significant correlated to each other. Thus, it is concluded that monthly average online spending is a combination of variables (factors) co each other
