The Impact of Industry 4.0 on the Automotive Business Models : A Successful Transition Through an Integrated System-Engineering and Strategic Perspective
This research investigates the impact of Industry 4.0 on the automotive companies’ business models through two phases of identification and transition. The multi-stage methodology integrates content analysis with expert study, equipped with the following techniques: The Kano model and DEMATEL. The identification phase’s primary results are disruptive factors (DF) and the changes reflected in BMEs. In the transition phase, the requirements for adaptation to DFs, their classification based on the customers’ perceived value, and the causal relations among KSFs facilitating a transition path are presented. The result emphasizes “build partnerships”, the KSF with causative and highly interactive nature
