THE IMPACT OF THE ECONOMIC CRISIS ON THE GLOBAL INTEGRATION OF THE TRANSNATIONAL COMPANIES
The global economic crisis of 2008 onwards affected the ability of companies to invest, this resulting from limited access to funding, but also from the inclination of economic agents towards investment as a result of the gloomy economic outlook. Through this study we tried to illustrate the impact of the crisis on the ability of the transnational companies to invest, investment processes underlying the global integration. A transnational company becomes a global integrated company when it manages the investment flows outwards through outsourcing and off shoring processes. The whole analysis is accompanied by clear examples of cross-border mergers and acquisitions affected by the global crisis.
