The Importance of the Romanian Artistic Handcrafts for the European Cultural Routes

The paper presents the possibilities of achieving and developing an innovative product that will generate significantly more added value for tourism in general and cultural tourism in particular as itineraries of artistic crafts, by taking into account the high number of Romanian artisans (1067) and the Living Human Treasures Programme implemented by the Ministry of Culture since 2009 and their importance for the tourists who wants to travel on the European cultural routes, which represent a competitive network of wisdom.
